PUBLIC NOTICE: City Council Vacancies - November General Election 2020

 

The City of Molalla announces City Council positions that will become vacant December 31, 2020.

3 Council seats – Four-Year Term                                   Seats Expiring: Mayor Keith Swigart, Councilors DeLise

1 Mayor seat – Four-Year Term                                        Palumbo, Jody Newland, Crystal Robles

Candidacy may be declared by any City resident who is a qualified elector (registered voter) and twelve-month residency minimum.

If you are interested, please pick up a Candidate Information Packet between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm after June 3, 2020.

All candidates must submit the following to the Molalla City Hall by:  Tuesday, August 18, 2020 by 4:30pm

  • Filing of Candidacy for Nonpartisan Nomination (SEL 101); and
  • Candidate’s Statement of Organization (SEL 220)
  • Petition for Nonpartisan Nomination Signature Sheet (SEL 121)
  • Filing cover sheet (SEL 338)

The Candidate Information Packet that potential candidates will pick up contains Oregon State Elections procedures for filing, accepting donations and other campaign financing instructions. The packet also contains information from Molalla City Hall and Clackamas County Elections Office. 

The packet contains information that you are encouraged to read before beginning your campaign. 

The November General Election will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
