Homeschooling

Become a responsible DIGITAL CITIZEN! The best protection you and your students have online is to be educated on how to be safe! Be Internet Awesome with Google! Use their resources to help you practice good digital habits.

Getting Started:

  • Homeschool Central: Practical advice for new homeschoolers.
  • 6 Steps to Getting Started: Article from The Homeschool Mom website.
  • Learn in Freedom: This raises some interesting questions about taking responsibility for our own child’s learning. It might be of some use to you when making the decision about whether or not to choose homeschooling for your student.

Molalla Library Resources:

  • Library eCard: If you do not have a LINCC Library card, begin with an eCard today! Get instant access to online databases, eBooks, eAudiobooks, Hoopla, and more! The eCard will allow you to place 3 physical items from the library on hold. Once they arrive at the Molalla Library, you will be notified. Then, call for a Curbside Service appointment at 503-829-2593. Bring a photo id and proof of current address to your Curbside Service appointment and your eCard will be converted to a regular LINCC Card.
  • Teacher/Educator Book Request Form: Request assistance from librarians in finding and accessing books and other resources. Parents are welcome to request books on this form, too. Contact Beka at rmurcray@lincc.org with specific questions.
  • Books & Resources: Place these items on hold to check out at a Curbside Service appointment. *This will take you to our Pinterest lists. You will need to create an account.
  • Online Resources: Molalla Library and LINCC bring you databases and other resources to help you with your curriculum.
  • Beanstack Reading Challenge: Log your minutes this year with Molalla Library's Reading Challenge. Beginning September 8, 2020 and running through the school year, reach new goals as you keep track of your reading.

*** If you need any assistance with using any of the Library’s resources, or would like a consultation with a Youth Services Librarian, please email Beka Murcray at rmurcray@lincc.org.
