Summer Reading 2026: Plant a Seed, Read!

June 15 - July 31, 2026

For all Ages!

Join our all-age Summer Reading Challenge! Record your reading on the beanstack app or with a paper log. Complete activities to gain bonus entries into drawings fro fun prizes! Read ten hours to complete the challenge. Finishers earn a finisher prize: a reading cap!Kids and teens, remember to pick up a starter book and lanyard at the library to kick off your summer! Visit the library each week to earn a new crop charm to add to your lanyard garden! Registration will start June 1st!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

For ages birth through 5

Molalla Library offers a 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program! Encourage a love of reading in your child at a young age. This program has been embraced at libraries across the nation, and we are excited to bring it to you! Sign-up online or through the Beanstack app and begin reading and logging your books! We have a special book bag with goodies waiting for you to come pick-up at the library at your convenience, but you can get started reading right away.
