Chief Yelkus Park is located on Molalla Forest Rd. just north of OR-211 and is the cities newest addition to the parks inventory, named for the last Chief of the Molalla Indian Tribe, Henry Yelkus.

Phase 1 development is projected for completion in September of 2025 and will feature a new parking area with restrooms, benches, picnic tables, lighting, bike racks, a drinking fountain, educational signage, and a custom earthscape play structure featuring a massive coyote, balance boards, a log jam, and reed shaped columns.  The playground highlights the foundational story of the Molalla Tribe, Coyote and Grizzly.

Phase 2 development is not yet scheduled or budgeted, but will feature a raised wetland path, seating and viewing areas, and additional educational signage.
