First Time Offender Traffic School Deferred Sentencing Program

The Traffic School Deferred Sentencing Program is for first-time offenders who have had no moving violation convictions on their driving record in the last five (5) years and do not carry a commercial driver’s license (CDL). If they elect to participate in the Traffic School Deferred Sentencing Program, they do so with the understanding that they will be entering a no contest plea and that the full amount of the fine will be assessed if the program criteria are not met. The court will defer the citation court date two (2) months to allow time to complete the program.

You must be referred by the court. Contact the court to see if you qualify.

Location:

Online at National Traffic Safety School (NTSI)

Hours: The class is online and available 24/7.
Registration:

Online registration and payment must be completed prior to attending the class.

Cost: There is a separate fee imposed by the court which will need to be paid by the deadline date on the registration form. The court fee is $50.00 less than the presumptive fine.

Once the class has been completed and all fees paid, NTSI will provide a completion certificate to the defendant, of which, the defendant needs to provide to the court. This can be emailed to the court at court@cityofmolalla.com. Upon receipt, the citation will be dismissed, and the court case will be closed.

FAILURE TO COMPLETE ANY PORTION OF THIS PROGRAM will result in the required appearance in court on the deferred date indicated on their enrollment form. Failure to appear in court will result in any fees already paid to the court applied towards the presumptive fine, the presumptive fine imposed, administrative fees added, a conviction reported to their driving record, sanctions against their driving privileges and possible assignment of their account to collections with additional collections fees added.

It is the Defendant’s responsibility to register online and pay the fees; the court is only responsible for providing the information to do so. There Are NO “Reminder Notices” Sent.
