Welcome to the City of Molalla! Here is all you need to know about Utility Services.

To receive water and sewer services, please proceed as follows:

 

Complete a: New Account Application (Residential or Commercial)

Submit Applications In-person at: Molalla City Hall, 117 N Molalla Ave, Molalla OR, 97038

In addition to your application, additional requirements are as follows:

  • Proof of purchase - in the closing papers you receive from your title company is a specific document titled Statutory Deed or Warranty Deed, that the Utility Department must see for verification.
  • A $100 deposit for service that is refundable after 12 consecutive on-time payments. Deposit payments will be accepted as cash, check, and/or credit/debit card.
  • For rental properties, the Tenant and the Landlord/ Property Management company both need to complete and sign the application.

      considered late after the 15th of the month.

     A  Late Fee of $15.00 is added to your account
      if paid after the 15th of the month.

   Check payments returned for non-sufficient funds
     will be charged a $35.00 NSF Fee.

 

 

 

Delinquent Accounts: An account not paid becomes delinquent on the 16th day of each month and a Delinquent (shutoff) Notice is mailed to the account holder. Accounts that have service terminated must be paid in full plus a $50.00 Reconnection Fee to have service restored.

Important: For delinquent rental property accounts, landlords/property managers are also notified of non-payment.


Bill Pay

Payments can be made at Molalla City Hall, Monday through Friday during working hours of 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM.

There is a blue drop box outside City Hall for after-hour payments.

Customers must have their account number available for this service. 

Online Payments:

Online account management is available throughXpress.png, the third-party payment processor. There is no charge for using this service. Reminder: you will need your account number to utilize their services.

There is a Guest Checkout feature for one-time payments. Customers may also set up an account in Xpress.png. Once you've set up an account, you can sign up for paperless statements, set up auto pay, make payments online, pay by text, and more. If you do sign up for the Auto Pay feature, we recommend setting your automatic payment date for a date after the 4th of each month to ensure proper processing.

Important Advisory:

Please contact the City should you need the water turned on or shut off at the main meter. Customers are NOT to turn on or off the water meter at any time. 
 If a meter is damaged due to tampering, replacement costs will be the customer's responsibility. 
Any tampering of or unauthorized access to the water meter is subject to additional fees and fines.
Meters are property of the City. City personnel must have access to meters at all times.
