A recent scamming effort has targeted applicants to city land use decisions, infrastructure projects, and other city business with illegitimate fee collection requests. Be wary of fee requests in excess of what Molalla City Staff has conveyed to you and reach out to our staff directly if you receive any payment requests that look suspicious. The City will NEVER request a wire payment.
PUBLIC NOTICE: On December 10, 2025, City Council voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-12: Amending Molalla Municipal Code, Chapter 2.04.010 City Council Meetings. Regular City Council meetings will start at 6:00pm beginning on January 14, 2026.
Setting up utility service with the City of Molalla begins with completing a City Utility Services Application, which can be found in Supporting Documents New Account Application Residential or Commercial.
All new customers must submit a completed application to initiate utility services.
For rental properties, the Tenant and Landlord/Property Management Company both need to complete and sign the application.
Sewer Sewer charges are a combined total of a fixed base rate plus a variable rate. Current Rates: Base Rate: $65.11 per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU). Variable Rate: $6.45 per hundred cubic feet of winter average water usage (Volume Charge).

There is a monthly $5.06 per EDU storm drain charge on impervious surface. (Reference Resolution 2019-19 Updating Storm Water Fee(PDF, 1MB))
