Capital Improvement Program

The City’s Capital Improvement Program is overseen by the Community Development Department.  Every 5-years an updated capital improvement plan (CIP) is extracted from a combination of staff and community identified project needs, and selections from each of the City’s infrastructure system plans (Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Transportation, and Parks).  The selections are based on anticipated funding availability, system need, and coordination with other projects. 

The primary goals of the 5-year capital improvement plan are to:

• Provide a balanced schedule for capital improvements given anticipated funding resources.

• Anticipate upcoming capital needs on a system-by-system basis.

• Serve as the 5-year capital roadmap for the community and city staff.
