Councilor Leota Childress discovered Molalla on her very first visit and quickly fell in love with the town, making it her forever home. With a strong background in management and finance, Leota brings valuable expertise to her role as Councilor. Deeply committed to the community, she is passionate about the revitalization and beautification of downtown Molalla. As a member of the Project Management Team for the Molalla Area Community Visioning Project, she’s excited to see the growing community interest and involvement, looking forward to the positive changes this effort will bring.

Leota was appointed to the City Council in March 2016, elected to her first term in November 2016, and re-elected for a second term in November 2022.
